Unknown Surface Studio's Uncloud Coffees is one of the best achievements that it blends the nature and the building together and made this work of the architect wonder to the sky and into the universe. Facing the road on Khao Lam Road, Chonburi translates to Triangle Area, it appears in a triangular form and is located alongside the main road, so the scenery it can provide cannot be found in a lot of places.

A Design Inspired by Nature

The structure of Uncloud coffee intricately reflects the figures of the dancing Borealis patterns, bringing this aesthetic to a nice end by purposely whitewashing over the curvy contours of the highest nearby mountains. The charisma of the building's elegant outline and hypnotic curves, mimicking the enchanting charm of the celestial lights of the north, portrays the eloquence of the rolling continual and dynamic movement in the northern sky. This tale of the existence is translated into artistic representations which hold the audience's minds in thrall, creating awe-inspiring visual impressions that attract the curious visitors to find out more. Each turn and contour, in this presentation, makes this work of art a voyage full of exploration. Along the way, familiar borders become less clear as natural world finds its way to the human creativity.

Maximizing the Triangular Site

Citing the type of the site, which is a triangle, the layout plan for Uncloud Coffee allows for the use of its borders as well as zoning the area into three zones that are placed along the road. The main door leads the visitors to an area which is in addition to the bar and seating set up. The stage is set as a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. A lounge amongst a green-strewn courtyard outside provides a calming dance floor for tranquility while indoor area delivers seating and working spaces for individuals.

Managing Noise and Thermal Comfort

Addressing the challenges posed by the nearby roadway, Unknown Surface Studio incorporated innovative design elements to manage noise and thermal comfort. Towering, curved barriers along the street-facing facade selectively open at key angles to optimize mountain views while minimizing noise and heat infiltration. This thoughtful configuration not only reduces auditory disruptions but also helps maintain a cooler interior climate.

Blending Architecture with Landscape

The integration of landscape and hardscape elements further enhances the harmony between architecture and nature. Planted trees, in turn, figuratively sound insulations for this building by acting both as a natural barrier and shade while the courtyard provides pathways for daylight and sun view forcefully into the building so as to naturally light up the atmosphere. From the flow lines of the building to the way the site adapts, all these elements make a harmonious entity.

Uncloud Coffee - by an unknown group named surface studio is not only about serving coffee; it is a manifestation of the symbiotic relationship of architecture with the environment, which enthuses you to feel amazement. With the spirit of the Northern Lights very well captured and as well blended with the natural environment that surrounds it, this iconic manmade structure not only awe the viewers but also provides them respite from the daily buzz of life.
