According to Levy, Season 2's plot will feature the show's main characters dealing with everything that happened in the previous season. "So Season 2 is about this determined desire to return to normalcy in Hawkins." He also added that the gang's struggle to reclaim everything that they know to be normal may just turn out to be impossible.
"Stranger Things" Season 2 is said to be a "darker and weirder" season as compared to the last with its nine episodes. The Verge reported that Eleven will be coming back to the series and everything that has happened to the character will finally be explained. In addition, Season 2 will also be set a year after the things that transpired in Season 1.
