LG G6 Could Come with a Smaller Version LG G6 Lite and Compact; Trademarks for New Models Already Filed
The new LG G6 is scheduled for a company press on February 26 and could be available for everyone by March. The company has already filed a couple of trademarks and it shows the LG has a lot of new products coming this year. This includes a possible compact version of the LG G6 called the LG G6 Lite and LG G6 Compact and may come with a $50 price difference from the main model.
According to Phandroid, LG could be considering to release a smaller version of their upcoming model LG G6. There is a good chance that this could happen because LG has already done it before in their previous models. However, many are hoping that the smaller version will not have compromised specs but this will not be determined until the actual release of the product.
Aside from the LG G6 trademark, the company also filed 6 other trademarks that include G6 Fit, G6 Hybrid, G6 Young, G6 Sense, G6 Prix and G6 Forte. It is not yet known whether all the said models will be smartphones or some could be phone accessories like wireless speaker, headphone and possibly a smartwatch. Based on the product names, each could be serving a different purpose like the G6 Fit that is assumed to have a purpose connected to health while G6 Young could be something for the younger generation.
There are other rumors circulating about the specs of the upcoming LG G6. TechTimes reported that the new model could come with Ringke Case Tough PC Back, protective bumper, fingerprint sensor, and come in two color variants. In addition, it will have a 5.7 inch display, an impressive 2880 x 1440 pixel resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and a 3.5 mm jack. Although the rumored specs are not yet official, the report shows leaked photos where the rumor is based.
