"August Moon Drive-In" will give Nashville an indoor drive-in experience with a 1960-themed atmosphere set to open in 2018 at the intersection of James Robertson Parkway and Interstate 24. This will be the largest first non-Imax movie screen in the US.

According to plans, the "August Moon Drive-In" will have its daily operation, providing 18 movies a week in the 40,000 square-foot space consisting of fifty vintage cars. This is a well-conditioned dome with full-sized trees and hammocks. On top of that, it will showcase an outdoor atmosphere as the ceiling will have a starry-night effect with fireflies. A new way to give a state-of-the-art entertainment experience and the first in North America.

In a Clyde Fitch report published on Counts Project, the designer of the "August Moon Drive-in" Michael Counts is described as, "the wizard behind some of the most alluring large scale theatrical projects in New York City during the last two decades."

"The August Moon Drive-In is conceived as a mini indoor theme park that transports people in space and time to a quintessentially American experience - where that perfect summer night at sunset and where crickets chirp in the aloofness and the audience breathes in the scent of fresh meadow air can be repeated with absolute steadiness within what is effectively a giant movie set," said Counts in an exclusive interview with Fox News.

The New York-based designer added, "In addition to being a re-invention of the movie-going experience, August Moon Drive-in will allow audiences time to explore, play, and dine, and of course, watch their movie." In an added information, like any other theater shall have comfort food available and music inside the indoor theater.

Among Counts' investor is Ken Levitan, Nashville Artist Manager who also said they aim to target opening in the summer of 2018. In an interview with The Tennessean, he said, "This project August Moon Drive-In brings the excitement from everyone. We've raised some of the money and have to finish the raise."

Future viewers will be able to select a new screening by voting online through a social media platform. The "August Moon Drive-in" will also allow members to watch movies even without paying admission. This is the perks when getting a membership once this indoor theater opens.
