Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Release Date: Only Difference From Predecessor Is Display Size? Android Nougat Obsolete For Older Samsung Devices?
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is expected to outsell the Samsung Galaxy S8 as it boasts a larger 6.2-inch display. Apparently, a similar sales pattern has been seen with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. In the meantime, the latest OS update on the S7 edge is said to be an outdated version already.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Release Date Revealed
Latest reports from Korea reveal that the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus may be ready to launch sometime in April, Value Walk reported. The Korean site Naver cited sources that Samsung may produce more Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus as the model is expected to be more popular. Samsung also saw similar sales trends for older Galaxy S devices.
It should be noted that back in 2015, consumers favored the pricier the Galaxy S6 edge over the Galaxy S6. Last year, Samsung also noted a similar pattern with the S7 and S7 Edge as the latter totaled 70 percent of sales between the two. In the meantime, both Samsung Galaxy S8 models are expected to feature a phablet size and a dual-edged curved display. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is believed to sport 5.7 inches of display while the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus would boast a 6.2 inch display.
Samsung S7 Edge Gets Out of Date Upgrade?
In other news, the Samsung Galaxy S8 predecessor users are reportedly awaiting the latest Android Nougat update on their devices. Apparently, the company is yet to unveil the OS on the devices which is still being tested to fix bugs. However, a few S7 users who were able to download the update noted that it is already obsolete, Dailystar UK reported.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 on the other hand may roll out with a newer version of Android. Apparently, Google has begun testing the Android 7.1.2 Nougat. Note that Pixel users may already download the latest Android OS update.
