Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Confirmed; Samsung ‘Black Pearl’ S7 Edge Comes in 128 GB Memory with Bonus 256GB MicroSD Card in New Zealand
Samsung has just confirmed that an S8 Plus will also be arriving in the market along with its base model Samsung Galaxy S8. Although the company did not directly confirm the news, their website have already published a page with the model number of the new model. In addition, more leaks about the upcoming phone reveals its possible specifications.
According to Forbes, Samsung has just published a page on their website with the number SM-G955FD which is the model number of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. Although the page did not have any information about S8 Plus and just left the page blank, reports claim that it's already a confirmation of S8 Plus release.
The new Samsung smartphone is said to have 6.2-inch curved design with 2K AMOLED display. It comes with the same chassis size as the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, fingerprint scanner, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a USB Type-C charging port. It's possible the unit is also built with IP68 water resistance feature and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In other news, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge has just been released in New Zealand and it will come with better specifications and new color variant, according to Neowin. It is reported to include a 128GB memory, a bonus 256 microSD card and a new color variant "Black Pearl". It is equipped with a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, and in the same size as the S8 with 5.5-inch S-AMOLED display.
Samsung Galaxy S7 was first launched in 2016 but may not have launched in New Zealand upon release. However, this offer will only be available for a limited time in all Samsung stores, 2 Degree, Spark, other retailers or their online site. The unit is sold for $1,599 NZD or $1,146.
