Xiaomi Redmi 4 Vs. Meizu M5s: Difference In Battery Power Only? Xiaomi Mi 5C Processor Replaced

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is slated to go head to head in the market with another budget phone, the Meizu M5s. Both phones feature a 13MP camera and a 5MP front shooter along with an Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. In the meantime, the Xiaomi Mi 5C is rumored to launch with the in-house Pinecone processor.

Meizu M5s Is Strong Competitor

In terms of the display, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a 5-inch screen with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. On the other hand, the 5.2-inch display on the Meizu M5s comes with an HD resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. It should be noted that the Meizu M5s's specs are the ones listed on the TENAA certification body of the device and not yet official, Android Headlines reported.

Moreover, the Meizu M5s is said to pack a MediaTek M6753 chipset. The octa-core processor is reportedly running 1.3GHz. The device also packs 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD slot. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, on the other hand, runs a Snapdragon 626 chipset with an octa-core clocked at 2.0GHz and packs only 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable with a microSD slot.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime also includes a rear-facing fingerprint scanner while the Meizu M5s reportedly houses a fingerprint reader. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime also comes with 4,100mAh battery while the Meizu M5s reportedly packs 2,930mAh battery. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime is priced at $131 while the Meizu M5s reportedly costs $145.

Xiaomi Mi 5C Qualcomm Processor Replaced with In-House Processor

In other news, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 maker is also expected to launch its first-ever smartphone with a Pinecone processor. Note that Xiaomi owns Pinecone electronics which is rumored to be developing a processor to replace the Snapdragon processor in one of its upcoming phones. It is said that the Xiaomi Mi 5C would be that phone, Hindustan Times reported.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 maker is slated to launch the Xiaomi Mi 5C with a 5.5-inch display and narrow bezels powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor.
