Modern Architectural Wonders Of Islamic Art Highlighted In This Marvelous Museum
The modern architectural wonders of Islamic Art is highlighted in this museum, that can captivate even the most xenophobic minds. Historical man-made wonders never fail to give tourists and architects alike, some truly awe-inspiring moments.
Take Istanbul's Hagia Sophia for example, with its marvelous symmetry and meticulous design, people can't help but admire its construction. The same goes for the modern architectural wonders of Islamic art and architecture.
What better way to portray this than the Qatar's Museum of Islamic Art, envisioned by American-Chinese architect Ieoh Ming Pei. According to Dezeen, photographer Jazzy Li captured some stunning images of the modern architectural wonders of this Islamic Art Museum.
Li took some captivating photographs that highlight some of architect Pei's symmetrical craftsmanship. Li compliments the "astonishingly perfect alignment" of the structures of these modern architectural wonders.
Photographer Li mentioned how "effortless" the structure's symmetry blends and compliments the entirety of the museum's architectural design. The splendor of the structures can even spark the admiration of people who aren't even entwined with the Muslim culture.
As a matter of fact, Islamic art can even tear down borders of fear and misconception that deter some people from understanding Islamic heritage. According to TheGuardian, a new Islamic Art institute will open in Manhattan starting in May, this year.
The new institute will be brought together by a Sheikh in Qatar, by the name of Mohammed Rashid Al-Thani. Rashid Al-Thani timed the institute's construction to purposely coincide with America's current xenophobic issue such as the Muslim ban.
This is to raise awareness to the modern architectural wonders of Islamic art, amid America's travel ban dilemmas. Since art is considered as universal, this could be a good starting point for non-Muslims to be educated and to open-up on the Islamic culture through the multi-cultural and non-divisive medium that is art.
Maybe through art, people can band together regardless of race or religion. These modern architectural marvels don't just provoke feelings of admiration, it also brings people together in appreciating art.
