HTC One M8 Prime Tipped For Waterproof, 'Exotic' Design, Snapdragon 805-Powered Specs By Leaker
Following the recent leak of Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime photos, competitor HTC's own "Prime" version of its latest flagship smartphone, the One M8, has been tipped for its specs list by notorious leaker @evleaks.
The specs were revealed in a series of tweets aimed at HTC's Senior Global Online Communications Manager, who may or may not have called out the leaker:
In the past few days, a well-known leaker has been completely wrong about at least two of his "leaks." Be careful where you get your news.

The hilarious thing is my last tweet wasn't even referring to the person who assumed it was about him. Ego run amok. - Jeff Gordon (@urbanstrata) May 19, 2014
According to the evleaks tweets, the One M8 Prime will be waterproof and designed from an "exotic material: composite of aluminum and liquid silicone," with specs including a high speed Cat. 6 LTE radio, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 SoC clocked at 2.5GHz, a 5.5-inch QHD resolution screen and 3GB of RAM. NDTV reports that the tip about the device's 5.5-inch QHD display falls in line with a previous report published earlier this month.
It is unknown how different the One M8 Premium's design would be from the critically-acclaimed One M8's.
The "standard" HTC One (M8) packs a 5-inch, full HD 1080p screen, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, Sense 6.0, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 2800 mAh battery, microSD support and three cameras, including two on the back that can "sense depth and capture photographs that can be selectively focused after they have been snapped," according to Digital Spy.
HTC reportedly hopes that the high-end flagship smartphone will help it claim between 8-10% of the global smartphone market share, PhoneArena reports.
