Superstar Rihanna is going back once again in school after her latest stint in Harvard University last month. She'll be receiving yet another recognition this time from Parsons School of Design. The singer will be joining clothing designer Eileen Fisher and the Neiman Marcus Group this time.

According to Harpers Bazaar, Rihanna will be honored at the Parsons School of Design Benefit Night in New York. Her "power music and incredible style" is said to be the reason why she was chose for it. Aside from it her philanthropic works also help her land it.

"Rihanna has championed our recent alumni on a number of occasions by wearing their designs," Parsons Executive Dean Joel Tower explained about the award. "She is also creating important philanthropic programs, which support communities by fostering effective education, health, and emergency response programs around the world through her Clara Lionel Foundation," he continued.

Personally, Rihanna has also established a definite connection with Parsons School of Design. She mostly associate herself with the school's alumni: Melitta Bauemeister, Matthew Dolan, and Snow Gao at most times. Hence, the singer isn't really an outsider and it only makes her the finest choice for the honor.

The New School's College of Performing Arts and Parsons School of Design collaboration benefit night will happen at New York this coming May 22. Rihanna will be coming along with designer Eileen Fisher and luxury retailer Neiman Marcus Group.
