3XN/GXN, the innovative architectural firm renowned for its groundbreaking designs and forward-thinking approach, has unveiled its latest exhibition, Aware: "Humanize and Senses. This engaging exhibit, which runs from May 23rd to September 15th, 2024, allows people to feel that complicated bond between people and architecture by simply walking around it.

Exploring Human Interaction with Architecture

While the exhibition aims to reveal some fundamental architectural principles that form the basis of our existence, it starts with an authentic reflection on how architecture influences our lives in such a profound way. With 3XN/GXN's six environmentalizations, the viewers are confronted with thinking about the interactions they have every day with the built environments, being able to check the impact of architecture upon behavior(s), feelings, and perceptions.

Sustainability as a Core Principle

"Aware" aims to emphasis the fact that architecture is not only casings or objects, it is a dynamic creation that creates networks of intellectual, cultural, emotional and social inhabitants. The simple fact about what we habituate to the parts of the flight rule architecture gives us different ways, and soon, we are ready to connect, ask questions, and express our emotions.

Each installation gives a window into the complex structure of design architecture, showing how different ambiances, room configurations, and people's perceptions determine the result in each part of the house. By valuing the experiential aspect of spatial qualities over the pure form or sole function of architecture, 3XN/GXN invites visitors to go beyond the surface level and develop deeper along the way with the architecture on its own, doing away with conventional mindsets.

Promoting Environmental Consciousness

The main subject of the poem "Awake" is the idea of sustainable development, which is timely since cities worldwide are rapidly growing and nature is suffering environmental damage. Suppose the prediction is accurate: by 2050, 70% of the world's population will live in cities. In that case, the exhibition unquestionably keeps the issue of sustainability and the necessity of humans' obligation towards environmental protection prominent.

3XN/GXN stresses eco-friendly design as well as sustainability, which includes achieving longevity, resilience, and adaptability. Through innovative rethinking of conventional architectural patterns and embracing new practices, the firm aims to develop spaces that not only minimize their environmental signatures but also may do their jobs better in the long run.

Addressing the subject matter with installations that raise questions and contemporary design, the Learning Center "Aware" motivates visitors to retake a new look at the relationship between architecture and the built environment. The exhibition, which brings together the latest research, projects, and innovations in the field, gives visitors a real view of the future world we may be living in. The designers in the exhibition will have a chance to showcase their eco-conscious approach to architectural design, which will hopefully be the trend that the future is leaning towards.

Thus, in addition to a host of other views supporting the whole environment awareness approach, "Aware" stands out and calls for a wider application of the human-nature relationship in the design process. The examples of MVRDV's "ReviveR" and Henning Larsen's "Changing our Footprint" from their last show, which revolved around sustainability, adaptation, and societal effects, illustrate the evolved state of mind in the architectural world.

Celebrating Visionary Design

Moreover, exhibitions like "Ma Yansong: The "Landscapes in Movement" exhibition held at the Shenzhen Urban Planning and Contemporary Art Museum are examples of the value of art practice progress monitoring accomplished by visionary design, which can transform a regular space into a promotional hub of urban planning.

As visitors journey through "Aware: In "Architecture and the Senses," you will be invited to do more than this. You will be reminded that architecture refers to the physical structures we interact with daily and serves as something more profound. In the face of rapid urbanization and global warming, emerging concerns that today's architects have a massive responsibility that is crucial for future generations to cohabit on this planet.

Finally, "Aware" is a roaring step toward exploring the deeply rooted intersection of architecture, senses, and sustainability. By questioning the established perspective and proposing design innovations to change our point of view, 3XN/GMX invites us to think creatively about the architecture that will enable people and nature to coexist on the same ethical level.
