Ford Recalls over 100,000 Vehicles for Safety Issues
Ford has announced a recall of over 100,000 vehicles to fix various safety issues that their vehicles are at risk of experiencing.
Its unknown whether some of the vehicles that ford has called back have even gone through any kind of issues yet but the car manufacturing company is not the only producer that has called back some of their vehicles during the last year. In fact, many major car companies are experiencing the same issues.
Safety is growing into a greater concern as technology continues to advance. For that reason, corporations are making great efforts to not be left behind in the race for safety.
Today, the news about Ford's recalling of its vehicles was released in 6 different press released, for the different kinds of automobiles that need to be fixed for safety issues. Here are some of the vehicles: The 2013-2014 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKT and Lincoln MKS models, and the 2012-2014 Ford Edge, as well as the new Lincoln MKX SUVs of 2014.
In addition, Ford is calling back 2100 Ford Escape vehicles so they could fix the vehicles problematic panoramic roof, as well as around 200 Ford Fiesta 2014 compact cars in order to fix leakage issues in their fuel tanks.
There has yet to be any reports about accidents related to the issues stated, and Ford is looking to make sure it remains this way as they recall the vehicles and attend to their issues.
All owners of vehicles with potential problems will be notified soon and select dealers will fix the issues without any fees.
It seems carmakers are being more sensitive about making sure their vehicles are safe. General Motors reported that it waited over a decade to recall vehicles with potential safety issues.
Issues with vehicles will always be found through inspection, but what makes the difference is how fast the car company can recall the vehicles. Within a few months, things are expected to return to normal for Ford vehicle owners.
