The LG G3 S (G3 Mini), shortly after being certified for sale by Chinese authorities, has surfaced on the website of Svyaznoy, the second largest independent phone seller in Russa, offering up the first official renders of the device, GSMArena reports.

Along with the images, the G3's mini companion's full specs list was also made available by Svyaznoy. The device reportedly packs a 5-inch 720p display, an 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, a 2540 mAh battery, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. GSMArena notes the device has a single-LED flash, but still comes with the G3 flagship's laser focus feature.

Other specs for the Russian model include 8GB of storage (expandable via microSD cards), 3G support, Android 4.4 KitKat and dual-SIM functionality. Its dimensions are 137.75 x 69.6 x 10.3 mm and the Russian price will be RUB 13,990, which equates to about $406 or €300, making it significantly less expensive in the country than the flagship G3 ((RUB 29,990 or $871/€644).

Another positive to take is that the smartphone will bring most, if not all, of the software features offered in the G3 flagship, including gesture-activated selfies, according to Android-Headlines.

The model numbers for the G3 Mini are reportedly as follows: LGD722 for European markets, LGD722K for Taiwan, LGD725 for AT&T, LGD724 for CIS markets, and LGD728 for China Mobile LTE.

The device will likely take on different names based on the market it is being offered in - as evidenced by its G3 Beat moniker in China. An AT&T variant, meanwhile, is expected to get a release in the U.S.

In comparison, the larher G3 comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage (with microSD card slot) and a 13MP rear-facing camera with OIS+ and Laser AutoFocus. It also features a 2.1MP front-facing camera and Android 4.4. However, consumers may be most pleased to hear about the device's longevity thanks to its 3000mAh battery.
