Sprint appears to be readying to launch the plastic HTC One E8, Android Central reports.

The carrier recently uploaded a video dedicated to the smartphone on its Youtube account, offering an overview of the E8's top features and specs. Unfortunately, however, the video simply teases the device, as it does include any release date information.

The plastic version of the HTC flagship, the One E8 was originally launched in June in parts of Europe and Asia.

UPDATE: Sprint has since deleted the video of the E8 from its official Youtube account. Stay tuned for more details.

According to HTC's Weibo account, the tech giant previously sold 50,000 units of the E8 in just 15 minutes in China.

"# One public attention # 50,000 units, 15 minutes. HTC proud of each figure, by our common creation," HTC reportedly said on Weibo.

The One E8 is basically the One M8 in a polycarbonate casing with a dual-SIM option, CNET reports.

The device launched in color options of red, blue, black and white, with the Dual-SIM version - which allows users to take calls from two numbers on one handset - coming to some countries. Like its flagship companion, the One E8 features a 5-inch, 1080p screen, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, BoomSound audio and Motion Launch gesture control. A notable difference - other than the plastic back- between the two is that the E8 packs a 13-megapixel camera instead of the dual-lens specs packed into the M8. The E8 also packs a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.

Like the M8, the E8 also comes with DotView cases, which are fun-looking and convenient thanks to the perforations on the front for quick viewing.

The smartphone is seen as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S5.
