'Suicide Squad' Spoilers, News & Update:: One Character Dies; New Look By New Artist
A lot of fans of the series reacted to the latest issue of "Suicide Squad." This was because two major changes have happened: 1. An important character dies, and 2. There is a different illustrator that gave the series an entirely new look. Have fans been prepared for these changes?
As with many plots connected to the favorite band of misfits, "Suicide Squad #11" did not hesitate on easing the fans to a slow-paced build-up of the plot. According to ComicBook, after a falling out with the Justice League, members of Task Force X have found themselves in an even deeper hole. The story focuses on the different characters but it mostly aims its crosshairs (literally) at Amanda Waller. Waller requested to be dropped off in New Orleans where the squad is located.
In their site, IGN says there are glimpses of the "Suicide Squad" members on the issue as well: Killer Croc dealing with the Enchantress, Harley Quinn having a bond with another member, and a very emotional reconnection of Floy Lawton (Deadshot) and his daughter. However, the most important scene was a scene where Waller finds herself in a rather sticky situation with a shadowy figure holding two pistols. A short exchange between the two ends up with Waller taking a shot to her right chest. There have been no reports as to who the killer is but one thing is important: a character may have left the series. Fans are still reasoning out other possibilities that would make Waller return in the future of "Suicide Squad."
On the flipside, there have been different comments on the new look of the "Suicide Squad" characters in the latest issue. As their resident artist Jim Lee stepped back for the latest issue, John Romita Jr. takes center stage and gives the comic a new look. According to Comicosity, the artwork of Romita Jr., along with Eddy Barrows, is a nod to the classic way of illustrating graphic novels. The series is now available online in their official DC site.
