Before Netflix, YouTube was the first to enable offline video watching to their audience. This allows anyone with a youTube app to watch videos not only online but also offline. In this way, the audience can watch all their favorite videos anywhere they are and regardless of their internet connection.
According to TechRadar, this is a very useful feature for all internet users because they can also watch the videos without consuming mobile data where they are charged by the data usage. Now all they need to do is download the video while they’re on wifi and watch it anytime later. The best thing about it is that they can even watch it in the most secluded areas without a signal because it’s all saved on their mobile phone’s memory.
To start downloading, users just need to look for a video they want to watch in the app. YouTube hosts a huge variety of videos that ranges from movies, tv shows, music videos, unique content from users all over the world and so much more, PC Advisors reported. Anyone will definitely find a video that will interest them in YouTube.
Once the user has found a video they want to watch, all they need to do is click the download icon on the page. The download icon is the arrow sign with a horizontal bar below labeled as Save which is in between the Share and Add To icon. Upon clicking the icon, a dialog box will appear asking the user which video size they would prefer. The higher the MB, the better the quality of the video will be.
The download will start right after the deciding the video size and can be monitored in the account profile under the Offline videos tab. After watching the video, users have the option to save or delete the video to get more memory space.
