These Instagram post pictures highlight the stunning and mesmerizing exhibits that the DesertX art festival has to offer. The DesertX art festival is home to some artworks that can only be appreciated in the unique climate and set-up of a desert.
According to The Guardian, it is no coincidence that DesertX is situated along the path that leads to the Coachella music festival. After all, most music lovers have the tendency of appreciating good art as well.
This is where the DesertX festival comes in, to rekindle the inspiration of the artist within us all. Among the key set pieces in the festival is Doug Aitken's Mirage, a regular full-sized house albeit ladened with mirrors. Another eye-catching piece of work is Tavares Strachan's expansive art display titled "I Am." The image can only be seen from above since it covers the size of "two American Football fields." Fortunately, Instagram post pictures from the artist himself highlighted the radiance of his artwork.

Another interesting piece is that of Jennifer Bolande's billboard-like artwork dubbed "Visible Distance/Second Sight." This unique piece of art utilizes the landscape of the desert to deliver an image perfectly blends with the background scenery. Of course, the DesertX Instagram post picture depicts the beauty of Bolande's work as intended.

What sets DesertX apart from other art exhibits is that these set pieces of art are massive compared to ones seen in art pavilions. The utilization of the desert as a canvas for art makes for some unique masterpieces.
However, not all art exhibits in DesertX are to be considered as a form of expression from the artists. Other Instagram post pictures show art pieces that serve as more of a tribute than a form of self-expression.
An example of this is Egyptian artist Sherin Guirguis' "hive-like" work of art. Guiguis' work is designed as a memorial and a homage of sorts, to the communities that lived in the desert. There's even a feminine cobalt sculpture that asks viewers the question of "Why did you come here?" For art-lovers, the captivating Instagram post pictures give enough reason to answer that question.
