The Moro G5 Plus release date and specs were leaked ahead of its official release, here's all the facts about the G5 range that's gathered so far. Motorola is showing strong signs that they're getting back on track with the Moto name branding.
Previously, there were hints that Lenovo would be removing the Motorola branding ever since its acquisition. With new models such as the Moto G5, G5 Plus and even an unnamed mystery phone, the Motorola line-up is looking more solid than ever.
Speaking of the Moto G5 Plus, the device specs were prematurely leaked by a Spanish retailer. According to Slash Gear, the Moto G5 Plus release date is scheduled for Q2 of 2017.
Both models were featured during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which was held on February 27. As for the Moto G5 Plus specs, it is reported that it will be running on a Snapdragon 625 chipset.
On the other hand, the Moto G5 will sport a less-powerful Snapdragon 430 chipset. Another difference is that, the Moto G5 Plus specs will also include an NFC sensor, while the G5 will not.
There will also be a stark difference in terms of storage, with the Moto G5 Plus getting a 64GB internal memory while the Moto G5 gets a smaller 32GB. Other than these Moto G5 Plus specs and differences, everything else is the same for both units.
Both will have 2GB RAM, a fingerprint scanner and of course, Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Interestingly, the source also mentioned that Motorola will be ditching the plastic casing for the G5.
Instead, both phones will now be encased in a more sophisticated metal finish. Other than the Moto G5 Plus release date, there's also another upcoming phone worth mentioning.
According to Gizbot, Motorola is prepping up to release a mysterious flagship model. This unnamed model is rocking a Snapdragon 835 SoC and a new antenna technology.

A Twitter user posted pictures of the device claiming that it will feature four antennas, a new form of "unique tech" that the company is testing out. Other than its fast internet speed capability, not much is known other than that it's reported to release later this year. At least there's more to look forward to this year, other than the Moto G5 release date.
