Works of Yayoi Kusama and other notable artists were spotlighted during a kick-off of Cyndi Lauper's Farewell tour.

In her Montreal (October 18) and Toronto (October 20) shows, large video screens displayed images of Kusama.

As further shared by ART News, social media posts from fans who attended the concert saw white sculptures and walls decorated with Kusama's signature red polka dots. Lauper and her performers also wore the same color schemes and polka dots while performing 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.'

Besides Kusama, the Farewell tour also features other artists, such as fashion designer Christian Siriano, Refik Anadol, Sonia Delaunay, and more.

To explain the creative vision behind featuring artists, Lauper told Oregon Live that she's been wanting to mix art and music, emphasizing her art major while studying. The goal, for the tour, is to create an immersive experience for her life-long fans.

Kusama is no stranger to Lauper as she have been visiting her museum since October 2019 and have been vocal about her admiration for the artist.

Known as the 'Girls Just Wanna Haven Fun' farewell tour, Lauper will visit 22 more cities across North America, still blending music and art in her performances. Currently, she has a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden on October 30, with the tour continuing in the UK and the rest of Europe starting February 8, 2025.
