iPhone 6 Lookalike, i6, On Sale In China With $160 Price Tag [VIDEO]

The iPhone 6's clone - or what rumors tell us the iPhone 6 will look like - is now available in China for a reduced cost, Mashable reports.

The i6, which was leaked in a video running an iOS-like OS last week, will be available online starting Aug. 1 with a $159.99 price tag for the 16GB version. While we don't know how much a 16GB iPhone 6 will cost consumers - rumors suggest Apple may skip the 16GB option altogether - the iPhone 5S retailed for $199 on contract.

While the i6 may look like an iPhone, consumers should not be surprised to hear it doesn't use iOS, instead opting for Android, and only packs a 1.4GHz processor. The device does, however, feature a fingerprint scanner in the same spot as Apple is expected to position Touch ID and an auto-focusing camera on its rear. The i6 comes in color options of white and black.

The clone was also recently revealed in a video posted to Chinese blog 86 Digital, showing off a plastic, fully functional copy of the 4.7-inch device.

Bloomberg recently reported that the iPhone 6 will enter mass production in July, according to sources familiar with Apple's plans.

The publication reports that the next-generation Apple smartphones will likely ship to retailers around the same time in September, suggesting that the devices will release together and not staggered, as previously rumored.

Reports out of China and Germany have similarly noted that the iPhone 6 is being tied to a September release date, which the reports are suggesting will be Friday, the 19th.

Meanwhile, key alleged features were also revealed with the leaks, including a 128GB memory option for the "phablet" 5.5-inch variant. The Chinese report added, however, that both smartphone models would skip the 16GB option and start at 32GB and 64GB options instead.

The larger iPhone will also apparently feature a better camera than the 4.7-inch model thanks to the addition of optical image stabilization, which improves photo quality in low light conditions.

Specs rumors for the sixth-generation iPhone include an Apple A8, Near Field Communication (NFC) for mobile payments, Touch ID and an improved cameraCurved screens and the same color options offered in the iPhone 5S (Silver, Gold and Space Gray) have also been tipped in recent alleged leaks.
