Samsung's rumored A series smartphone, the SM-A500, has surfaced again with a new alleged feature: the Galaxy Note 4's TouchWiz interface.
While users wouldn't get most of the Note-exclusive features, the UI will "look and feel the same," according to SamMobile.
Furthermore, the publication notes that the smartphone will be arriving with a 13-megapixel camera instead of the 8-megapixel previously mentioned - a pretty nice addition considering the rest of its specs suggest it will be mid-range.
According to SamMobile, the SM-A500 is part of a new A-series of smartphones inspired by the Galaxy Alpha that feature a more premium-looking metal design. The devices are reportedly being dubbed the A300, A500, and A700.
The device also reportedly packs a specs list that includes a 5-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 5MP front camera and 16 GB of storage. It will not include some of the premium features packed into the Galaxy S5, such as the fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensor and Ultra Power Saving mode.
The SM-A500, which is believed to feature a tray for micro SD and nano SIM card insertion, was also recently spotted running GFXBench, GSMArena reports.
The device's specs, however, are different than those offered by the SamMobile report. According to the GFXBench info, the SM-A500 allegedly pacls a 4.8-inch 720p display, a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Furthermore, GSMArena notes that the smartphone has Adreno 306 GPU, meaning its SoC is the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset. The 410 is mid-range, however, and would come with a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz.
The device is also tipped for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a compass and a gyroscope.
No other specs or details about the A series devices are currently known, other than their alleged Q3 release dates.
