Gamespot reported that EA Sports pushed back the launch date of "NBA Live 15." The delay was explained in an open letter from the game's executive producer Sean O'Brien who said they would be using the extra time to improve the game.
"Considering all the work that's gone in so far, we will be taking a few extra weeks to polish the game and make sure you get an incredible NBA experience from the moment you first boot up the title," O'Brien said. "This extra development time means we will be moving our launch date to October 28 to line up to opening night of the 2014-15 NBA season. This was a hard decision, but it's the right one, as we are totally committed to delivering the highest-quality game we possibly can."
In August it was also announced that Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard will be featured on the cover of "NBA Live 15," according to a report from Gamespot.
The point guard took to his Instagram to talk the accomplishment and how excited he was to be on the game's cover.
"I've been playing the game since the 16-bit days, so you know this is a dream come true! Hard work has led to so many great things for me and I'm not even close to satisfied." he said.
"NBA Live 15" launches on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Oct. 28.
