Why Vadim Makhorov and Vitaly Raskalov Climbed The 650-Meter Tall Shanghai Tower [Video]

Vadim Makhorov and Vitaly Raskalov have to be crazy. Or at least that's what most people think after watching their latest video.

The two are famous for scaling tall structures and taking great photos and their latest accomplishment will make you sweat in your office chair.

The Shanghai Tower, which stands 650 meters tall, is still under construction but that didn't stop Makhorov and Raskalov.

They climbed to its top recently and shot a video of the whole thing — an illegal and incredibly dangerous feat.

The Huffington Post asked Makhorov about it and his answers were a little surprising.

"We climb to the top of buildings to see the city from an unusual angle," he said. "But this is just a small part of what we do."

They aren't particularly proud of the accomplishment either. In fact, they hardly think anything of it.

"How can you be proud of climbing somewhere high? I think only professional mountaineers can be proud of their ascents," he told Alex Kim at The Huffington Post.

Scaling the structures is something they find enjoyable, in addition to photography, but their first love is to travel. The two also explore underground spaces and factories along with the many rooftops.

Makhorov shoots with a Canon5D Mark III, Canon 70-200 4L, 17-40 4L and Raskalov uses the exact same lenses with a Canon 6D.

Here is the video of the Shanghai Tower.
