The new HTC Desire Eye is making much noise as it features a power 13-megapixel Selfie came and an equally strong front-facing camera. The phone also has a strengthened operating system with new features directed towards camera users.
Spec-wise, the phone is no joke. It features a Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, microSD expansion, a 5.2-inch 1080p resolution display and front-facing BoomSound speakers.
The new Desire Eye is a big upgrade from the previous HTC Sense operating system wise. The new OS is called HTC Eye Experience. It enhances video chat and conference calling with features like facial tracking and a Split Capture feature. It also has a feature called Crop-Me-In and worth mentioning - a feature called Voice Selfie that allows you to snap a Selfie by saying "say cheese" instead f manually clicking a button on the phone or screen. Also included are Face Fusion, a feature that allows you to morph a face with another image, and Live Makeup, which allows you to adjust skin smoothness before taking a photo.
HTC also updated the Zoe video editing app. The app was previously solely available for HTC devices but is now also available for the Android devices and the iPhone.
HTC will also be releasing a camera called "Re", solely focused for point-and-shoot moments. It was designed to compete with the Gore camera and turns on the minute it is picked up. The device has a strong 16MP CMOS sensor, 1080 HD video recording, slow motion and time-lapse recording capabilities.
The HTC Desire will be exclusively available for AT&T for its initial release. The date for its release or its price is still unavailable, but many speculators believe it will launch in the United States during the holiday season.
