As the numbers of Youtube stars growing, Exeter launches Tubers that will give hope to the aspiring Youtube stars. The program has been launched on Jan. 27, and it is the first academy in the United Kingdom that is dedicated in teaching kids to make their own videos.
Devon tech entrepreneur Nick Ellison will launch the UK's first dedicated video creators academy, according to Exeter Express And Echo. The source added that the studios will be opened on Sat 4 Feb from 10-4pm. Parents and young people are invited to come and see the store.
Tuber will provide workshops and even supervised access to studios for 11-18 year olds with two, 2 hour sessions a week over an eight week course. It will also provide a progression ladder to ensure students continue learning and developing their skills
Many experts predict that social media networks will continue to emerge in 2017. Currently, one of the generation of superstars, YouTube vloggers Zoella (lifestyle) has garnered 11.5M followers. When it comes to gaming category, DanTDM is among influential vloggers with 13.9M followers.
There is also Mini-tubers for 7-10 year olds, which has been requested by many parents. According to Ellison, he and Jim understand the challenges and concerns of parents with their youngsters as they are also parents.
"We are also acutely aware of the need to safeguard youngsters so a key part of the program is about what to share online, safe internet use and avoiding cyberbullying."
Meanwhile, good news to online users, especially iOS owners. They can now access Youtube controls on the Apple Watch. In a recent report by Engadget, the latest Youtube app for iPhones and iPads has lock controls. The feature is available to Chromecast and even smart TVs and other devices.
For those who own Apple Watch, they can now access play, pause, prev, next, and volume controls. The upgrade is now available from iTunes.
