A’ Design Award & Competition 2014 Call for Entries from International Interior Designers
On Wednesday, March 12, A’ Design Award & Competition has announced their 2014 call for entries for the International Interior Design Awards. The A’ International Interior Design Awards is an annual competition to recognize the best interior designs with projects that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, socially-beneficial and sustainable. The competition aims to create awareness for innovative interior design practices and is open to interior designers, architects and interior project developers on an international scale.
The scope for the entries cover all interior projects that demonstrate smart spatial and interior design. Projects for the competition will include hotels, bars, restaurants, museums, retail shops, hospitals, health clinics, workspace, spas, factories, and places of worship. In addition, projects on exhibition spaces and trade-fair booths are also included in the competition. Product designs for interior spaces such as lighting and furniture will be considered as well.
All entries will be reviewed and judged by 50 anonymous experts in the field of architecture, interior design, media and design education. The criteria will include functionality, efficiency, user-friendliness design originality, spatial planning, innovation, social benefits, creativity, sustainability, design practices and aesthetic appeal.
Deadline for submission online entries is on March 30, 2014. The announcement of the final results will be released on April 15, 2014.
The winner of the A’ Interior Design Awards will be given two complimentary tickets to participate in the black-tie Gala Night and Award Ceremony which will be held at Villa Gallia in Como Lake, Italy.
Winners will be awarded with a certificate of interior design excellence, a 3D printed metal trophy, and a yearbook of best projects in a special hardcover edition. The winners will have their designs exhibited in Italy and in other countries. Winning works will also be included in the online gallery of the best interior projects as well as have their names listed under the World Design Rankings.
