'South Park' Creators Trey Parker & Matt Stone Retire From ‘Politics’ Under Trump
After creating the most genius satirical versions of what was happening with Trump election and victory, "South Park" co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will rest for a while with the current politics events. Supposedly, the longtime partners chose to maintain series storylines than writing per episode. This came up with the recent interview they had on a publication.
"South Park" introduced its very own President Trump character with the persona of Mr. Garrison last season. In fact, Trey Parker and Matt Stone needed to redo the whole after election episode just to make it coincide with the real time events. Seemingly, the two decided now not to push through with it.
According to ABC News' report on their interview with "South Park" masterminds Parker and Stone, the two confirmed that they will be holding back now with satirizing politics. Seemingly, the current events are too touchy for humor and they don't want to tread on the water for the sake of the whole show.
"It's tricky and it's really tricky now as satire has become reality," the two "South Park" co-creators said. "We were really trying to make fun of what was going on [last season] but we couldn't keep up" they added on the same news.
The thought of "South Park" is terrifyingly funny, now, even the notorious duo Comedy Central can't keep already with what's happening. In essence, they highlighted that satire has become reality already.
On the other hand, Vulture also shares their thought on the same "South Park" issue. Satire masters Trey Parker and Matt Stone also spoke about how the people urge them to continue with writing. In spite, they can't do it even how many their fans would love them to.
In all, America's current situation is just too hot to handle for "South Park" co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. President Donald Trump isn't just someone to mess around!
