Samsung Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhone 8 are two of the most anticipated smartphone in 2017. And although the complete specs of the two smartphones are scheduled for release anytime soon, that didn't stop leaks and rumors of their new features to circulate online.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be officially introduced in the coming Mobile World Congress 2017. Fox News report it to come in bigger display size between 5.8 to 6.2 inches and in curved OLED or organic light-emitting diode. This is the same feature seen on the S7 Edge wherein its curved display screen provides better and bigger display options without the need to increase the screen size.
S8 is also expected to have a lesser bezel and more display screen, particularly at the bottom and the top part of the smartphone. This new feature shouldn't be surprising because the company has been hinting this information for some time now in their videos. Of course, as the display orders adjust, the aspect ratio of the screen will also change for the better.
As for Apple iPhone 8 or also known as iPhone X, Trusted Reviews report it will also come in bigger display size, better power consumption, and a minimum 64GB memory storage. The 3.5mm headphone jacks will be back this time equipped with a 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
Both models, Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8, will ditch the home button on the screen and still come with the fingerprint sensor feature. Although Samsung plans to place its sensor at the back of the phone just like the Google Pixel.
Samsung is also rumored to ditch the physical home button in favor of software buttons. And the fingerprint sensor will be on the back of the phone. Note that neither of these latter rumored changes would be groundbreaking. The Google Pixel, for example, has no physical home button and has the fingerprint sensor on the back.
