Samsung Gear S2 Classic For $96 On T-Mobile; Company To Provide Material For iPhone 8 Manufacture

Tech head wanting to grab a smartwatch can now consider the super discount offered by T-Mobile. One can get the Samsung Gear S2 Classic for less than $100.

The Samsung smartwatch originally retailed for $348, and one can grab one now for $96. That is a massive discount of $288. T-Mobile has not listed the duration of the deal, but with this price, it will surely be a limited time offer, Tech Times reported.

The report also mentioned that upon purchase, customers will also be charged an extra $20 for a SIM starter kit, bringing its total price to $116. This is still considered low-priced since the Samsung watch still sells around $250 on online retailers.

The Samsung Gear S2 Classic features a 1.2-inch circular Super AMOLED display screen and 4G compatible, which sweetens the deal. The smartwatch is IP68 certified, which means that it is capable of withstanding water up to 1.5 meters deep and up to 30 minutes long. It is compatible with most Android and iOS devices.

The device also features GPS tracking, wireless charging and capable of receiving voice-activated commands. It is also loaded with the latest Samsung Tizen 2.3.1 OS that provides accessibility to the Galaxy App Store, S Health features, better widget support and more.

Meanwhile, speaking of Samsung, the company is said to supply another round of OLED display panels to Apple. The Cupertino-based tech giant has put up another 60 million units, rumored for the iPhone 8. This is in addition to the 100 million OLED panels requested last April, according to MacRumors. Samsung is said to concentrate more on mobile OLED panels, while LG is focusing on bigger display panels such as TV screens.

The iPhone 8 is expected to be thinner than its predecessor and may feature an edge-to-edge display, and the use of OLED screens will make it happen. Watch the Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic hands on review:
