The last "Conjuring 2" highlighted the case of Ed and Lorraine Warren on Enfield haunting. This is the very first time that the audience met Valak on the big screen. She was supposedly trying to get on the house's owner Janet that she even used Bill Wilkins to trap her.
According to TechnoBuffalo, "the Nun" will be the continuation of "Conjuring "storyline with Valak. It will be directed by Corin Hardy which also guided "The Hallow" before. The seasoned director James Wan will also help out though it will be more on the movie's screenplay. The two will be joining hands to make the best of the evil nun's back-story.
In the story of "the Nun," Valak will once again return to haunt Lorraine. In essence, "Conjuring 2" cemented the relation of the two; they were connected since the paranormal expert relieved the death of Ronald DeFeo Jr. When she tried to find out the real murder, the evil spirit jumped on her.
The end of "Conjuring 2" supposedly sent back Valak on Hell, thus Lorraine's ease that everything about them is already settled. Although, here returns the newest Hollywood demonic icon. She will once again try to get back on the investigator for what she did.
As stated by the Hollywood Reporter "The Nun" spin-off will land on the big screen this coming July 2018, and New Line Cinema will be the same company to make it. To take note, it was the same one which also produced "Conjuring" and its second installment "Conjuring 2."
To conclude, the fans of the supernatural thriller will once again experience Valak's curse on "the Nun." Now, everyone will finally know what's more about her unending obsession with Lorraine.
