Look Out! The Terrazzo Trend is Taking over the Furniture Design World
The furniture design world is about to blow over with their newest design trend: the terrazzo products. These sturdy products are about to make its way to interior design.
Another Brand, a company composed of a designer and furniture manufacturer, is one of the companies who started working with terrazzo for their interior design products. The company, best known for its clean and simple designs in furniture, mostly made tables and chairs. In fact, their latest furniture that featured the terrazzo trend are tavolini or small tables.
The company also became the subject for Dezeen as it featured the latest terrazzo trend. Dezeen is an architecture, interior, and design magazine and right now, the usage of terrazzo products in top design companies caught their eye. Terrazzo products are marble pieces mixed with cement and smoothened.
The Primo Collection, designed by Theo Williams, is the latest collection of Another Brand and its recent addition are the terrazzo tables. These tables have small circular tops, a square-shaped stem, and a circular base that brings us back to the designer basic. What make this more modern are the table sets that come in different heights and sizes. The tavolini can be for indoors and outdoors due to its sturdy material that can weather out any kind of climate.
Dezeen also mentioned Alberto Bellamoli , furniture designer, who joined in on the terrazzo trend with his own take of table and utensil design. His classic four-legged tables look lively with the help of terrazzo patterns but with bigger marble pieces. He also made bowls and candleholders with the same patterns.
Besler and Sons, a furniture design company, also got in on the terrazzo trend according to Dezeen. They used small marble chips and added colored glass for that small classy shimmer in their product. Unlike the two designers mentioned above, Besler and Sons made smaller products such as bookends and design pieces. This just goes to show that, whether big or small, terrazzo pieces can make your house look a little more lively.
