Sony Xperia XZ Premium: 4K HDR Screen, 4K Video, 19MP Rear All Coming; ZTE Blade V8 With 13MP Rear In March
Sony has formally launched the company's smartphone devices on during the on-going Mobile World Congress. The event, which was held in the northeastern city of Barcelona, Spain also sees the launch of ZTE's new mobile phones.
At the MWC event, Sony Xperia XZ Premium, which is reported to be the first mobile that comes with a 4K HDR screen that measures 5.2 inches, was presented. The company's high-end smartphone will also feature a 19MP rear camera and has the capability of recording a 4K video.
Meantime, ZTE presented its Blade V8 that comes with a 13MP rear camera and is expected to hit the market shelves in mid-March. Aside from that, ZTE Blade V8 Lite that features a 5-inch IPS screen, a 13MP rear, and 8MP camera was also launched alongside and will be available in a few weeks following the Blade V8 release.
ZTE also announced a new update of the AXON 7 with Android Nougat, including the GoogleDayDream, being the company's first smartphone that allows the user to enjoy a Virtual Reality experience. Incidentally, the MWC is considered as the most significant event of the mobile phone business that expects to welcome 101,000 professional visitors, exceeding the figures of the last edition, NDTV reported.
Meanwhile, ZTE's newest addition to its smartphone line, Blade V8 Mini, and Blade V8 Lite, came almost two months following the announcement of the company's Blade V8 Pro. The new smartphones, however, will reportedly be available first in Europe, Germany, Russia, Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.
Given the specs and design features, the Mini is expected to delight the smartphone fans, with its red color look a bit like the colors of the iPhone 5C. Reports also suggest that the mobile device will have the same dual camera system featured in V8 Pro, yet at a more affordable price.
