"Pokemon GO" upcoming updates hint at the addition of some fan-requested features including a new special event. Hardcore fans of the series aren't entirely sold on the concept behind "Pokemon GO."
This was due to the popular mobile game app lacking certain features that make a "Pokemon" game more appealing. While "Pokemon GO" certainly nails the creature collecting part of the game, it's sorely lacking on Pokemon multiplayer battles.
On top of that, the gym feature was pretty much under-utilized. However, Niantic CEO John Hanke is willing to address these concerns in the "Pokemon GO" upcoming updates.
According to DroidReport, Hanke admitted that the game's gym system didn't function well due to having "very limited gameplay." To fix that, Hanke promised that the "Pokemon GO" upcoming updates will include an overhaul for the gym system.
In addition, Hanke also tackled the lack of player-on-player battles on "Pokemon GO." The Niantic CEO revealed that they're already working on bringing player-versus-player matches in the "Pokemon GO" upcoming updates.
On top of that, Pokemon trading is being worked on by the development team as well. It's also specified that Pokemon trading will be done in person rather than over the internet.
That's not all that's worth looking forward to in later "Pokemon GO" upcoming updates. There's also the special "Pokemon GO" event that features everyone's favorite sleepy monster Snorlax.
According to Mic, the Snorlax "Pokemon GO" event will last from now until March 13. However, the big trade-off is that, the event itself is country specific, Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan to be exact.
Following this announcement, some players expressed their frustration on the exclusivity of the country-specific event. Fortunately, developers mentioned that they will announce a global event soon for the "Pokemon GO" upcoming updates.
Niantic also teased some noteworthy legendary Pokemons to be released to the game soon. Expect legendary creatures such as Mew, Mewtwo and Zapdos in the "Pokemon GO" upcoming updates.
