Gold and Williams will be awarded on April 23 as a part of Housing Works’ benefit event to expand and continue their efforts in providing homes to homeless people in New York.
Williams said, “Because home means so much to us and because our mission is to make the world comfortable for everyone, we feel a powerful connection to Housing Works and its dual goals of ending homelessness and AIDS.” Both Gold and Williams have been longtime supporters of gay and lesbian rights, diversity, education and the environment. They have also participated in philanthropic advocacies such as the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, the Human Rights Campaign and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
