WWE Superstar John Cena Comments On Gracing The Cover Of 'WWE 2K15'

WWE superstar John Cena commented on being featured on the cover of "WWE 2K15" in a press release that 2K Games revealed on Tuesday. Cena said he was grateful for the nod and bringing WWE games into the next-gen consoles.

"It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the 'WWE 2K15' cover Superstar. 2K has a tremendous history of sports simulation games and cover athletes, including Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and of course, Dwayne The Rock Johnson," he said. "I look forward to carrying the flag for 'WWE 2K15' and introducing the incredible next-generation of WWE gaming to the WWE Universe."

Chris Snyder, 2K Vice President of Marketing, also spoke on Cena being featured on the cover and explained why the WWE superstar was chosen. Snyder said that he hopes Cena's involvement will help make the game the greatest WWE game ever.

"With his outstanding record of accomplishments in WWE and beyond, the iconic John Cena is the perfect WWE Superstar to represent the WWE 2K franchise as we launch the first-ever WWE video game on next-generation consoles," he said. "Along with monumental gameplay, graphical and presentation improvements, we are confident that Cena will drive 'WWE 2K15' to cement its spot in history as the greatest WWE video game released to date."

Cena was announced as the cover star for "WWE 2K15" on Monday night's episode of WWE RAW. Shortly following that announcement WWE 2K tweeted the cover out to the world.

WWE 2K15 launches in North America on Oct. 28th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Two weeks ago, Mark Little, the executive producer of "WWE 2K15" recently hinted at whether or not recently retired wrestler, CM Punk would be the game during a conversation with Polygon.

When asked whether the wrestler would appear in "WWE 2K15," Little simply said "Talkin' about rosters later."

Little was asked after that whether his answer was a work, which the executive producer said was somewhat true.

"I work on the WWE now; you shouldn't know what to expect," he said.
