Concrete Garden by Platform 21 Architecture Welcomes Sunlight and Gentle Breezes In Manila
The Concrete Garden House by Platform 21 Architecture in the midst of Manila's busy streets. Having one floor with a couple and their canine companions in mind provides the emanation of peace that is often destabilized by the city's density.
Focus on Nature and Architecture
The concrete Garden House design scheme focuses on the two most significant elements of highland, nature and man-made architecture, to create a harmonious combination. We avoid large-scale architecture; thereby, our building gives a space for lush green species to prosper. The structure has a unique facade made of blocks and wood panels. This mosaic creates visual impact and acts as a cover-up that welcomes the sun rays and air circulation, providing a perfect blend of privacy and sunlight for the people living in the navigation.
The inner part is the last roof deck of the building, while the outer part of the green patent is bamboo-designed, which blurs outdoor/indoor boundaries and deepens the connection with nature. The house's material is done this way on purpose, and the wood and concrete are the main aesthetic elements. The use of natural stone, wood, or other imperishable materials of this kind, in combination with interior spaces, allows you to transfer from one section of your abode to another while feeling like you are at one with nature at the same time.

Connectivity and Spatial Organization
In the conference room, the wide-open space provides connectivity to each other, while the fences made out of wooden dogs can be utilized in various ways when defining spatial zones. Every corner of the house enjoys access to the surrounding gardens, ensuring ample light and ventilation. Preserving an existing adobe wall adds character to the outdoor space, while the main bedroom is strategically positioned to offer privacy from the nearby main road.
Innovative design elements cater specifically to the needs of the canine occupants, with designated play areas and integrated dog-friendly features seamlessly woven into the home's fabric. The result is a harmonious blend of architecture and nature, where each element is carefully balanced to create a tranquil and inviting living environment.
Enduring Material Choices
Concrete, chosen for its enduring longevity, gracefully weathers the passage of time, while the exterior facade exudes elegance through the repetition of breeze blocks and concrete and wood fencing. As a soft screen, the facade fosters a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces, enhancing the sense of serenity.
Symmetry extends throughout the plan, evident in the uniformity of the structural grid and facade, while the high-ceiling living and dining areas define the home's central space. Through thoughtful design choices and a deep reverence for the natural environment, Concrete Garden House stands as a testament to the transformative power of architecture in creating spaces that inspire and rejuvenate the soul.
