The Volo Museum, renowned for its eclectic collection of classic cars and reputation for paranormal activity, faced an unusual challenge this week when its Titanic exhibit was unexpectedly flooded. Jim Wojdyla, the museum's Marketing Director, highlighted the museum's eerie nature, which is nearly as famous for its ghostly occurrences as for its vintage automobiles.
"And it's kind of part of the thing. The Grams family that owns the property, they've lived on this property, so they're just kind of used to it," Wojdyla explained. "Even Brian Grams, one of the owners, kind of jokes, like, 'I don't know life without having weird hauntings going on.' Like, they're so used to it. Like, yeah, you might be used to it, but this is pretty freaky, man."
Incident Details and Historical Significance
The incident, captured on security footage, showed unexplained movement followed by flooding around the museum's prized 1912 Renault French concept car. This car holds significant historical value, as it is one of only two ever produced. The other car famously met its watery grave on the Titanic, making this particular vehicle an integral part of the museum's Titanic exhibit.
Immediate Investigation and Response
The sudden flooding caught the attention of both staff and visitors, leading to an immediate investigation. "We're getting engineers. We have a crew on staff, a maintenance crew, that's checking everything out and, you know, they're general contractors and, you know, previous jobs, they were... all different kinds of stuff," Wojdyla said. "So, they're experienced in this. So, we're having them examine the building and they haven't found anything yet. It's pretty crazy."
Exhibit Closure and Public Reaction
The recent event was that the Titanic exhibit was shut temporarily, creating curiosity and concern among the museum's clientele. The staff at Volo Museum is busy trying to understand the reason for the flooding. Returning to the absence of water, one can note that despite the evident professionalism and highly qualified personnel of the investigated team, the number of gifted divers, and experienced movie makers, the origin of the water remains a mystery, thus making people hope for some supernatural characteristics of the site.

The Volo Museum, which was previously located in Chicago and is now located just outside the city, is famous among lovers of classic cars and history. The most popular attraction with unique items is the Titanic exhibit, which is rather interesting because of the information provided about the maritime tragedy.
The team is still developing the museum concept to resolve this problem while guaranteeing the safety of the exhibits. The Grams family owns the museum and has seen many strange things, but they are facing quite a challenge this time.
Future Plans and Assurance
The engineers, maintenance crew, and other professionals are still inspecting the building. However, the museum has clarified that the Titanic exhibit will be removed on Thursday. The quick actions implemented by all the museum staff affirm that the museum cares a lot for the health of visitors and ensures they make good trips.
The Volo Museum's flood case only adds an additional layer to the tapestry of the institution's lore. While everyone, including the staff and visitors, still has their breath bated waiting for the opening of the Titanic exhibition, the issue of drowning continues to spark both the scientific and the paranormal.
