As the saying goes, better late than never! Brera modern, a new museum to extend the concept of modern art, is proposed to open in Italy's Milan at December 7 over fifty years after its primary planning. The Guardian, on the coming of the much-anticipated launch, stated that it was a dream which has been in the pipeline for the past fifty years.
Integration with Pinacoteca di Brera
It will feature modern artworks of the famous art gallery Pinacoteca di Brera, with which Brera Modern is located in one building. This new gem is on the verge of adding new vision on the already available virtuosi collection of works through arts in the museum that already possesses master pieces works of Canova, Caravaggio as well as Raphael. Angelo Crespi, who took over the helm of the museum in February, will oversee the launch of Brera Modern.
