Electronic Arts announced that Chelsea star Eden Hazard will be featured on the "FIFA 15" cover for the UK, Ireland, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands alongside Lionel Messi.
According to IGN, Hazard has the credentials to appear on the cover after being named PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2014 season and was participating in the 2014 World Cup as a member of the Belgium team.
Hazard is also a longtime fan of the series and expressed to EA Sports how excited he was to get the cover of the game.
"I have played FIFA all of my life and it's a huge honour to be asked to be on the cover of FIFA 15," he said. "Now I have played the game I can say it's the most realistic football game I have seen, so I cannot wait to challenge my friends and team-mates with FIFA 15 and show off the new moves."
USA Today reported last month that U.S. captain Clint Dempsey will appear on North American "FIFA 15" cover alongside Lionel Messi.
The star player reacted to the announcement an interview where he said he was honored and excited to be on the cover of an iconic franchise like "FIFA."
"It's pretty cool, especially to be on the cover of a game that I played growing up, and also in the company of one of the best players in the world," Dempsey said. "It's exciting."
Dempsey also said that the game is a great way to help build on soccer's popularity in the U.S. after the World Cup since it helps people get familiar with the rules of the game.
"You start figuring out the rules, so when you watch the games on TV, you're able to understand it more," said Dempsey. "It only helps the popularity of the game in the U.S."
FIFA 15 will launch on Sept. 23 in North America and Sept. 26 internationally. It will be available on the PC, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
