Elite Daily released news on Google's development of flying drones, the "advanced objects" that will be making deliveries to customers' homes. The details entailing the "Project Wing" have not been released since the company does not yet have a thorough inventory of Google goods.
The price for the delivery system is undetermined, or unknown to our knowledge, but the plan is to have the option of selecting a flying drone to delivery your products or to have the items shipped when placing an order online.
The research laboratory believes the drones have a few years of tests to run before the system will actually become a for shoppers. Also, the system will be competing with Amazon.com which has experimented with the same flying structures.
Google has already conducted tests and, according to NPR, "the company says test flights in Australia delivered a first-aid kit, candy bars, dog treats and water to two farmers after traveling a distance of roughly one kilometer, or just over a half mile, two weeks ago."
Although creating the appropriate technology for these drones from Google and Amazon, a larger issue may arise in terms of government support. "The FAA currently allows hobbyists and model aircraft makers to fly drones, but commercial use is mostly banned."
