AT&T has announced it will begin offering the LG G3 Vigor this Friday, Sept. 26, for customers looking for a cheaper variant of the new LG flagship, Android Central reports.
The mid-range G3 Vigor will be available for just $49.99 on a two-year contract, but will also be offered through the carrier's Next18 and Next12 plans for $13.96 per month and $16.75 per month, respectively. The device's off-contract price will be $334.99.
AT&T will also kick off its exclusive offering of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha on the same day.
Sprint also announced that it will be offering the smartphone later this year in Burgundy Red and Metallic Black color options with a $299 price tag off-contract, or 24 payments of $12.50.
The Vigor, which has been designed with "selfies in mind," comes with a 5-inch 720p IPS display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 2540mAh battery and Android 4.4.2. It will also offer a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and laser autofocus, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage.
LG Slabs G3 On Biggest Billboard Sign In World
With two new iPhones now available and Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 also on its way, LG has taken its efforts to keep up with its competitors to a whole new level.
LG has commissioned the world's biggest billboard sign ever to promote the G3, a title given by the Guinness Book of World Records, according to Android-Headlines.
The billboard sits on the route to the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where LG says 20 million people visit each year. The company estimates the sign, which measures in at 12m high and 250m in length (about two football fields), will generate an additional $25 million in revenue.
That's one big sign to show off a smartphone - even if it is a phablet.
