Anne Hathaway's 'Princess Diaries' Firehouse Family Home For Sale
The San Francisco firehouse property has been listed on the market for $2.6 million. The family home of Anne Hathaway's character in the beloved film "The Princess Diaries," is located on Brazil Avenue, in the city's Excelsior neighborhood.
In 1911, it was originally built to station horse drawn carriages, but in 1918, was reused to fight fires and was occupied by fire trucks. The property was sold at auction and was transformed into a residential living space in 1976. The unique residential-style living of the home had its debut in the 2001 film.
Curbed gives us an interior view of the current 4,800 square foot structure that resembles an ideal workspace and potential home for a tech company, which seems fitting for San Francisco. Check out the space that once housed Hathaway's character Mia, before she became princess of Genovia.
