Mary-Kate Olsen, Fiancé Olivier Sarkozy Renovating Their Historic Manhattan Townhouse
It wasn't too long ago that fashion designer Mary-Kate Olsen and her fiancé Olivier Sarkozy purchased a $13.5 million Manhattan townhouse. The home is an extremely unique structure and a historic property to New York City. Turtle Bay Gardens was originally built in 1920.
The couple (rumored newlyweds) bought Turtle Bay Gardens from painter David Deutsch, who has created an exceptionally rare townhouse that includes a portico, loggia, private garden, a hall of mirrors, a ballroom, rooftop pool, built-in garage, an artist's studio, and is equipped with an elevator.
From the images of the home's interior, it doesn't seem as though the stunning structure needs any update. But according to The Real Deal, Olsen and Sarkozy sought after New York architect Steven Harris to renovate the 8,100-square-foot home.
The plans for renovation reach $3 million, to add square footage, as well as a "change in exits/regress." Once the remodel is complete, we can only hope we will be able to see the end transformation, and of course, see just what exactly our style icon Mary-Kate will be living in.
Get a look inside the gorgeous townhouse if you haven't yet already.
