George Clooney And Amal Alamuddin's Dreamy British Countryside Estate
From a wedding in Venice to purchasing a mansion that includes a private island in the river Thames? Is this really the life of newlyweds George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin? Totally normal. It is rumored that the couple recently purchased a 17th-century Georgian manor for $12 million.
The private property happens to be 5.5 acres residing on an island along the river Thames in Berkshire County. The 8,948-square-foot mansion entails 10 bedrooms, an updated kitchen, a fitness center and luscious landscaping.
The pictures express a dreamy and magical private property that seems ideal for the new celebrity duo. If they ever wanted to escape their romantic surroundings (I don't know why you would) for the city, the location happens to be only 37 miles away from London.
Curbed refers to an older piece from the Wall Street Journal about the property, claiming "It was purchased by a banker named Omar Bayoumi in the late '90's, who was drawn to it by 'the romance and exclusivity of owning the largest residential island in the Thames,' as well as the 'beauty of the house and grounds.'"
Life seems to be pretty sweet for these two. Their white marbled bathroom alone would make us happy everyday to get ready in.
Take a look to see for yourself. We're drooling!
