"The Originals" Season 4 is now only a few weeks away from hitting small screen TV and avid fans of the show can't wait to see the show's new cast member. The upcoming season of the vampire drama will feature an older Hope Mikaelson and she may be the key to igniting or breaking relationships.
The last fans saw of Hope Mikaelson was when she was taken away for her safety since New Orleans has proven to be unsafe for the special baby. "The Originals" Season 4 will return with an older Hope played by actress Summer Fontana and the youngest Mikaelson is set to change things for the original family.
The upcoming season of "The Originals" will be set five years after the season finale of Season 3. Fans will no longer be greeted with a defenseless Mikaelson baby, instead, they will get a seven-year-old Hope. TVLine reports that Michael Narducci, the former executive producer of the show has revealed this juicy secret.
According to Narducci, Hope will be the embodiment of Hayley's street smarts and Klaus' temper and willingness to protect the family. While Phoebe Tonkin, the actress who plays Hayley says that Hope has Niklaus' good and bad traits, whereas both will be seen throughout "The Originals" Season 4. The actress also added that Hope is to be a powerful little witch, with that fans might be graced with another Mikaelson witch as powerful as their older sister, Freya.
Moreover, "The Originals" Season 4 may finally give two star-crossed lovers a much-needed chance. Elijah and Hayley are definitely head over heels in love and Narducci has taken notice. The two have a lot of obstacles blocking them from each other's arms, including their separate existence on a different plane.
The former executive producer even said that "These are two people who clearly love each other, even though they have a very complicated situation." He later added that Hayley and Elihaj would do anything to protect each other. Elijah being a thousand-year-old vampire who still has some sense of honor and dignity within him, while still capable of doing horrible things. Hayley, on the other hand, is a hybrid who is still well within the mortality of a human lifetime, hence her values are still safely intact.
Everything Narducci shared is indeed promising for the fans of Hayley and Elija's star-crossed romance. It is also possible for characters from "The Vampire Diaries" to make their way to the spin-off series this season. According to Entertainment Weekly, Matt Davis' Alaric will be making his debut on "The Originals" set soon. This makes it possible for Caroline to follow suit as well.
