The Nokia 8 is expected to launch this year along with the Samsung Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World Congress. It is believed that the Nokia 8 would launch in two variants with a Snapdragon 821 and a Snapdragon 835 chipset. Recently, Nokia also announced its new cloud packet core innovation.
Nokia Enters High-End Market with New Nokia 8
The Finnish tech giant Nokia previously launched the Nokia 6 making it a success. This year, the Nokia 8 flagship phone is said to be one of the most highly anticipated phones of the year. In fact, the Nokia 8 is expected to directly compete with the Galaxy S8, Android Headlines reported.
It is expected that the Nokia 8 would roll out with 6GB of RAM along with 24MP OIS and EIS primary camera with an additional 12MP front shooter and dual front-facing speakers. On the other hand, the S8 is slated to launch with either a curved QHD display or a 4K screen design. Moreover, the device may also roll out with a dual camera setup, 6GB of RAM and an Iris scanner. In addition, Samsung is already set to reveal its new AI assistant which is rumored to be included in the Galaxy S8 launch.
Nokia's Cloud Packet Core is not Just a Virtual EPC
In other news, Nokia recently announced a new product that spans IP network and mobile technology. With Alcatel-Lucent merging with Nokia last year, Nokia was able to roll out products based on a larger technology portfolio. Hence, the Cloud Packet Core is said to provide a bigger picture of technology for the future.
The Nokia Director of Product Marketing Nick Cadwgan also noted that the company sees broadband growth in the future, SDX Central reported. Nokia revealed its desires to engage with residential and enterprise broadband users as well as initiatives and business vertical.
