Top Company-Designer Collaborations Coming Up this Spring

Top companies love collaborating with those from the creative fields. This way, they can develop more creative product offers as well as boost inspiration in their line.

This spring, creatives Barry Dixon, HOK, Vern Yip, Padma Lakshmi, Ashley Hicks, Jessica Zoob, Lela Rose and Tony Ingrao are coming up with new and exciting collections in collaboration with top companies to develop furniture pieces, fabrics and accessories.

This April, Barry Dixon will launch a new collection for C2 which will be named Dixon’s Naturals Color Collection. Dixon’s 16-furniture collection will feature chairs and sofas which have exposed wood paint and paint colors, all of which will be inspired by nature’s four elements. His pieces will be debuted at Tomlinson.

Another collaboration that will be debuted in April will be from HOK Product Design and Lualdi, the top Italian door creator. The collection, Half+Half, features door design solutions for small spaces. HOK developed a line of doors with three design trims, combining wood, painted slabs and intense color details.

HOK is also collaborating with Lea Ceramiche in coming up with ceramic wallcoverings called Pixel and Nest. Pixel ceramic wall coverings feature tridimensional effects using ceramic tiles while nest takes inspiration from the complexity and irregularity of nature’s leaves.

All of HOK Product collaborations will debut at the Salone del Mobile which will run from April 8 to April 13 in Milan.

Earlier this month, Vern Yip has collaborated with The Langley Empire Candle Company during the International Home+Housewares Show held in Chicago. Yip designed nine candles in 10-ounce matte metallic tumblers with minimalist lines with pops of colors. The collection was inspired by the designer’s travels in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
This week, celebrity chef Padma Lakshmi offers the Blue Optic Drinkware in collaboration with Gilt.com under The Padma Collection.
