Why spend $845,000 on a Porsche, then park it where no one can see it? Well, the luxury automaker partnered with Dezer Developement, LLC and solved that "1 percent" coundrum.
Units of the Porsche Design Tower in Miami will have car elevators made of glass so owners can display their toys between drives.
Here is a statement about the project on the website:
"Exclusivity has never felt this good as you soar above the Atlantic, in a glass elevator, on your way to you very own private garage in the sky. The Porsche Design Tower is the first of its kind anywhere; each unit comes equipped with an elevator...for your car."
Within its 60 stories, the tower will have 132 units priced from $4.8 million and $32.5 million each. They are sized between 4,252 and 16,915 sq.ft. each one will have a garage for two to four cars. At 650 feet high, it will be the tallest ocean-front residential tower in the U.S.
If the numbers didn't say it already, the tower was designed for the ultra-wealthy in mind.
Of the 132 units, 22 billionaires have already purchased units, according to weburbanist.com.
Residents will be able to walk directly into their apartments from their vehicles, which will be washed and maintained by an in-house conciege service.
Glass car elevators are a unique feature but even that gets lost on the list of perks for residents.
Most floor plans include pools, 20-foot ceilings, poggenpohl kitchens and fully customizable spaces. There will be workout facilities, a restaurant and a full spa available to residents as well.
