Doodling is the New Inspiration for Marble and Metal Shelves
Shelves, whether marble or metal, always look classy and sturdy but it can also look playful with this designer's new way of doodling. Who knew that something so fun would be design inspiration, right?
Design Milk recently showed that incorporating doodling into designing marble and metal shelves give out the best results. Italian designer and architect Roberto Giacomucci did just that in his latest design collection. Doodling is a form of free style drawing that focuses on loose lines and strokes in art.
Giacomucci showed that doodling also makes interior design pieces such as marble and metal shelves even more stylish. He used this form of art to make unique shelves of marble combined with perforated metal sheets. The marble used is Carrara and its white shade becomes a direct and impeccable contrast to the copper and brass color of the perforated sheet. This contrast gives the design a refined yet edgy look.
The metal sheets used to cover the back of these marble shelves become its background and makes the design pop out even more. The marble shelves are a design on their own, but with the perforated sheets, it becomes a completely new level of artistic decoration and expression.
Roberto Giacomucci and his art exhibits show a mixture of the typical monochromatic and subtle colors, and the unique doodling design styles that clearly embodies his marble and metal shelves. His signature look has earned him different praises and people love by his talent.
These marble and metal shelves are already design features on their own but their spacious divisions can fit different objects that clearly reflect this designer's vision. In metalmobil, they described Giacomucci as an inspired but practical designer. This definitely holds true in all of his designs, and this designer is someone you need to keep an eye out.
