Nashville Welcomes Arquitectonica's JW Marriott Hotel As Newest Landmark In 2018
Nashville will have its newest and tallest luxury landmark. The JW Marriott Hotel, which is designed by renowned Miami firm Arquitectonica and will be finished in 2018, is located in the center of downtown. The 33-storey tower is set to provide expansive views of its surrounding cityscape from 386 feet.
The symbolic Cumberland River in Nashville, including its varying character, complementing the natural geography of Tennessee is said to be the inspiration for the hotel's design. Further reports suggest that the art features, sculptures, and fountains are featured in the curved glass facade, while a sheltered outdoor terrace situated on the 33rd floor offers public views and space that capture the city.
Moreover, the guests of the JW Marriott will be given access to a luxury dining experience like the first Bourbon Steak in Nashville. The more than 1000 wines and cigars that are available in the lobby are also open for consumption.
Meantime, aside from the 553 rooms, reports reveal other amenities like a sauna, a spa, and fitness center on the top floor, including 50,000 square feet of space for meetings and hosting events. JW Marriott hotel is located within the area of some of Nashville's iconic locations like the Music Center, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Arch Daily reported.
Nashville's historical significance, meanwhile, is shown in its plantation buildings, period homes, impressive landmarks and historical monuments. According to reports, the Parthenon, which is the unique replica of the Athenian temple, and the Tennessee State Capitol building that offers an excellent view of Nashville city are two of the most significant landmarks in Nashville.
In line with Nashville's reputation as a musical haven, Ryman Auditorium has been renovated to its former glory and continues to be one of the top concert halls in Nashville. Although monuments are scarce, there is one that pays tribute to soldiers who died during the Vietnam War in the form of a statue, which is adjacent to the Nashville War Memorial Auditorium, World Guides reported.
